When she stands on her tip toes, she can just reach.
Tilly is really excited about sending post cards to her pals back in Sydney.
But there seems to be an absence of them in the post offices and newsagents in our area. We had to go on a big walk this afternoon just to find a newsagent that actually stocked them. And even then they only had two. As in two cards. Both with the same picture.
What is going on. Don't people send post cards anymore?
Though speaking of post cards, this little one arrived in the post today.
Can you recognise the illustration?
Why yes, it is Loobylu! I actually bought this little set as a goodbye gift for one of Tilly's friends in Sydney. I had wanted to get one for Tilly, too, but the shop only had one.
Hence the search for nearly non-existent and daggy newsagent variety.
We took a little ferry over to Dangar Island yesterday to have lunch with some friends. Here is Tilly looking all serious sitting on the ferry. There was a group of 11 year old girls on the ride and Tilly sidled up to them and pretended she was part of the group for the whole trip. It was very endearing.
Dangar Island is very significant to our family as it was where Andrew and I started our relationship. It was a New Years Eve party and I can't say it was particularly romantic (more debauched than anything else) but it was the beginning.
Anyway, this is just a bit of a non-post to say that the big move to Brisbane is taking place next week. And as a result, I might be absent for a bit. Nothing unusual for me, I quite often have long episodes away from the blog, but as I am trying to be a bit more consistent I thought I might announce it.
Oh, and if anyone has been trying to contact me directly on my usual email, it is not working at the moment. I should have it remedied soon and in the meantime I have changed the email linked to this blog.
