A fellow Bondi mum was interested in having a little cape for her daughter.
So I stopped knitting to devise this. I sort of made up the pattern, after having looked at a few.
I'm pretty happy with it, though Tilly isn't. It was a real trial to get her to model it. So I have to be content with her looking like a little witchette with red fingernails!
It's lined with spots in 2 colour ways. Pink for the hood, green for the cape.
I'm going to try it in navy velvet with pink satin lining for the stall. Seeing as velvet is very "in" at the moment.
Oh, and yes. I think Back Tack had better start distracting my from my knitting, otherwise I am going to be in trouble! Well, I have acquired a great piece of fabric in black/grey/white tones. I have also spent a lot of time thinking about it. And I've been thinking that I might deviate from the rules a little. I might not do one of the three suggested patterns.....Pretty slack, I know. I do really like the Wee Wonderfuls patterns, but I've just seen so many of them around the place. And being from Australia, I've seen the other bunny pattern around too. But I'm not going to make just any old thing. I'm going to make a softie that is in one way relevant to my recipient, but no more hints for now.
